A few weeks ago, before Episode VII was released, we talked about how similar it might look to the first Star Wars Movie (Episode IV). You can read everything about it here. It turns out the similarities were even stronger than we expected. For some fans that is a positive aspect of the movie. J. J. Abrams succeded in bringing the franchise home. For others, Episode VII lacks originality. No matter what we think, it is always important to listen to the father of Star Wars: George Lucas himslef. Who is Finn? Nobody knows. Before the movie came out, people were speculating about his origins. Since he is seen using Luke's lightsaber in the previews, people assumed that he might be force sensitive. That led people to believe that he could be related to Mace Windu. Others believed him to be Lando Calrissian's son. Before the movie, there was no indication of his origins, except for this small one.

This sounds crazy right? The only reason I'm giving this theory some (very little) credibility is because J. J. Abrams said that the new trilogy is about the Skywalkers. Episode VII has been out for a few days now. It has broken all sorts of box office records, and it has been praised by critics. So it is time to dig into those loose ends in the plot that many are talking about. Don't get me wrong, we love Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We have seen it many times already. My son has even seen it twice. The more we see it, the more we love it. But, the movie does have it's flaws and plot holes that need explaining.
