Who is Finn? Nobody knows. Before the movie came out, people were speculating about his origins. Since he is seen using Luke's lightsaber in the previews, people assumed that he might be force sensitive. That led people to believe that he could be related to Mace Windu. Others believed him to be Lando Calrissian's son. Before the movie, there was no indication of his origins, except for this small one.

Continue after the break to find out. Be aware, this article contains spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Finn's origins are as mysterious as Rey's. Finn is not even his real name. It was given to him by Poe Dameron. Later, we see Captain Phasma reviewing his file for any previous signs of non-conformity. We can see a picture of "Finn as a child," but that's about it. Later in the movie, Finn tells Rey that he was taken from his family that he will never see again. That's about it, no more information on his origins.

But, before the movie was released, this piece of information was reported by Super Bro Movie News via Twitter:

You heard it here first, Amazon might have spoiled a part of STAR WARS TFA, Finn's Father? https://t.co/y6sGCJZRkv pic.twitter.com/hswB2AThcD

The Amazon seller claimed that the puzzle is a collectible with the image of Finn (Lando Calrissian's son). Lot's of people who saw the tweet were expecting this revelation to happen during the movie. But it didn't happen. Some people are still expecting the big revelation to come in Episode VIII, since Lando himself, Billy Dee Williams is making a cameo appearance in the movie. But the truth is, nothing has been said yet, it might not even happen, and the product on Amazon doesn't make any mention of Lando anymore. Most likely it was just a sales strategy to lure us into a trap. Where is Admiral Ackbar when he need him?
