Star Wars the Force Awakens is out next week. Can you believe it? Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd. keep teasing us with promos and TV spots that just seem to focus on the same parts of the movie. But I'm sure that by now, you all have put together a decent amount of the overall plot. The new TV spot and promo showed on Disney XD give us a bit of new footage, but what's important for us is the information we can gather by comparing a key scene found in  this new footage against the a previously released one. Keep reading to find out what we might have discovered.
These are the two videos we are talking about. Take a look at them and let's discuss some new ideas and theories.

#1 A goodbye scene
We get to see General Leia Organa once more in the new footage. What's interesting is that she is not wearing her general's garments (the blueish vest and grey shirt) as seen in a previous scene (images below). She seems happy and relieved (more on that later). We believe that the scene in which she is wearing a blue dress is when Rey, Finn, Han, Chewie and BB-8 arrive at the Resistance's base. While the second scene, where Han and Leia are hugging each other, is a goodbye before the attack on the Starkiller base. The difference in her expressions is stark. Maybe she fears she won't see Han again. Or maybe she fears for Rey's safety and Han is telling her "I'll take care of her." Take a look at the images. Do you agree with us?
#2 an expression of hope
Let's examine this new footage of General Leia Organa (or would it be General Solo?). She seems happy and relieved. The TV spot has us believing that it is because she sees Rey. Both Characters are shown in the same scene one after the other. As we mentioned above, it seems to be when our heroes arrive at the Resistance's base. Is that the look of a mother seeing her daughter again? Or maybe an aunt looking at her niece after a long time? For all we know, she could actually be looking at Han and she is happy that he is there and that he saved our new heroes. One last possibility is that she knows who Rey is, who her parents are and her importance for the future of the galaxy, although they are not actually related.

#3 Maz Kanata

We finally get to see a good shot of Maz Kanata (at least her head). This scene is clearly after her castle gets destroyed by the First Order. Does this mean that we get to see her in Episode VIII? Maz Kanata is voiced by Lupita Nyong. We have heard her giving some spiritual advice to someone (maybe Rey or Finn). Will she be a Yoda type character for our new force sensitive hero(s)?

We also get to see a First Order Stormtrooper showing off some fancy moves with that special weapon capable of deflecting a lightsaber. We also get to see Finn igniting the lightsaber and charging against that same Stormtrooper.
#4 I can handle myself
We have seen the scene where Han gives Rey a blaster. Now we get to see the whole conversation with Han saying "you are going to need this" and Rey answering "I can handle myself," to which Han replies, "I know, that's why I'm giving this to you." That's a very Han moment. We also get to see Rey showing off her fighting skills with the staff. If she turns out to be force sensitive, she won't have any problems handling a lightsaber.

#5 blowing up some First Order Stormtroope
rs
This last one is not exactly a spoiler, but more of a better view of a previous scene. In a previous TV spot we got to see a scene where a few First Order Stormtroopers get blown away by an explosion. That scene lasted literally one second, one of those "blink and miss" moments. Now we get to see it completely. It seems that a X-Wing fighter blows them away at the battle at Maz Kanata's castle
If Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd. keep releasing more TV spots and teasers, they are not going to leave much to our imagination. But one thing is for sure, nothing can spoil that big plot twist that J. J. Abrams has said he has in store for us.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is in theaters everywhere next week, starting on December 18th. Don't forget to get your tickets. Go to www.starwars.com for more information.
